Mikhail Lukin, has been selected as the 2021 recipient of The Optical Society (OSA) Charles Hard Townes Medal in honor of his pioneering theoretical and experimental contributions to quantum nonlinear optics and quantum information science and technology, and for the development and application of nanoscale quantum systems for sensing. He joins an esteemed group of past recipients recognized for their outstanding contributions to the field of quantum electronics.
